This week, 24th to 28th November, is the third annual Family Dispute Resolution Week. Run by Resolution, the aim is to raise awareness of the various alternatives to court for separating and divorcing couples, not only with the public, but within government and those working in family law too.
Resolution is an organisation of roughly 6,500 family solicitors and other professionals in England and Wales, who adhere to the Resolution Code of Practice and who are committed to helping people separate in a less confrontational way through the use of alternative dispute resolution (ADR).
The three main forms of ADR are Mediation, Family Arbitration and Collaborative Family Law. They each offer a different approach to resolving problems, and avoid unnecessary and costly court proceedings.
At Fisher Jones Greenwood, we have Resolution accredited solicitors who offer Mediation, Family Arbitration and Collaborative Family Law.
