Fisher Jones Greenwood LLP (FJG), a leading East Anglian law firm, is proud to announce its continued recognition in the Chambers UK Guide 2025.

Published annually, the Chambers Guide is widely regarded as one of the most comprehensive legal directories, offering in-depth insights across multiple practice areas in regions such as the UK, Europe, Asia, USA, Latin America, and Canada.

Lawyers and law firms are ranked in bands from 1 (highest) to 6 (lowest), with additional categories for exceptional individuals and up and coming talent, as well as associates to watch, which acknowledges senior associates who are recognised for their work in the background of major deals.

Its rankings focus on both the overall quality of firms and the expertise of individual lawyers, providing a trusted resource for clients seeking high-quality legal representation.

In the 2025 edition, FJG has retained its department and lawyer rankings in several key practice areas, demonstrating its sustained commitment to delivering exceptional legal services throughout Essex and Suffolk.

Department rankings:

Corporate/Mergers & Acquisitions: SME/Owner-Managed Businesses – East Anglia – Band 1 (retained from 2024)

Family/Matrimonial – East Anglia – Band 2

Ranked lawyers:

Corporate/Mergers & Acquisitions: SME/Owner-managed Businesses – East Anglia

Family/Matrimonial – East Anglia

Litigation – East Anglia

  • Joe Sandercock – ranked as an ‘Associate to Watch’ (first ever ranking)

These rankings are determined through a rigorous, independent research process that evaluates firms based on criteria such as technical legal ability, client service, commercial awareness, diligence, and professional conduct.

The Chambers research team also conducted thousands of interviews with clients, peers, and other industry professionals to gather information and assess the quality of legal services provided.

Paula Fowler, Chief Executive Officer at FJG, expressed her pride in the team’s achievements. She said “We are delighted with our rankings in the Chambers Guide for 2025.

“These are particularly pertinent given the last 12-18 months, during which we have navigated a significant period of change and growth, with several key staff changes following retirements and promotions within some of our busiest practice areas.

“We are incredibly proud of our team’s ability to adapt. These rankings reflect our expertise and tireless dedication, as well as FJG’s ongoing commitment to providing exceptional service to our clients year after year.”
